Graphics

I was always curious about copper graphics, partly because we had a very active printing workshop in my home town Falun, where many of our most successfull copper graphic artists apprenticed, Axel Fridell, David Tägtström, Bertil Bull Hedlund, Hans Norsbo and Stig Borglind.

To print from plate was also cheap in comparision with making lithographs. I eventually got a small workshop of my own, where I sometimes work, mostly with dry-point and aquatintetching.

Since the early 1980's I have also worked with stone lithography with Rolf Jansson's successors at Vikmanshyttan in Dalarna.

To print from stones is fascinating but demands more structured planning than painting because the original idea is often revised during the shaping process.
